CEDARVILLE, Ohio - Hillsdale made its move in the third quarter and went on to defeat Cedarville, 77-48, in a G-MAC contest at the Callan Athletic Center.
Kat Weakley scored 15 points and
Leah Butterbaugh tossed in 13 for the Lady Jackets, 5-12 overall and 3-7 G-MAC.
CU entered the contest with nine players in uniform with two more going to the sidelines within the last week due to injuries.
The visiting Chargers scored the first ten points of the game, but the Jackets recovered to grab a 20-19 lead.
After Cedarville scored the first bucket of the third quarter to get within 35-29, Hillsdale rattled off 17 unanswered points to take command.
STINGER NOTES:
- Butterbaugh's 13 points is a career-high and Weakley's 15 is a season-high.
- The Jackets' bench outscored Hillsdale's, 31-24.
- Brianna Zajicek matched her season-high with seven rebounds.
- Cedarville leads the all-time series, 9-7.
- The rematch is February 15 in Hillsdale, Mich.
