COLUMBUS, Ohio -
Timothy Davis pumped in 25 points to lead four players in double figures as the Yellow Jackets rolled by Ohio Dominican, 81-63, in G-MAC action at Alumni Hall.
Jayvon Maughmer tallied 17 points for Cedarville, 9-5 overall and 4-1 G-MAC.
Chris Rogers came off the bench with 14 points while
Ethan Sellars added ten.
Jacob Drees hauled in a game-high 13 rebounds.
CU scored the first 11 points of the game capped off by back-to-back threes by Davis.
The visitors built as much as a 21-point lead in the first half against a Panther squad relegated to just six available players because of injuries.
ODU charged back to within 69-60 with 3:35 remaining, but the Jackets stifled the comeback by responding with a 10-1 spurt.
STINGER NOTES:
- Davis' seven three-pointers equaled his career-high set earlier this season vs. Boyce.
- Drees reached double figures in rebounds for the fifth time this winter.
- Rogers returned to the lineup following a three-game absence with injury and buried four triples.
- Maughmer has scored ten or more points in 31 straight games dating back to last year.
- CU committed just six turnovers matching its season low (Southwest Baptist).
- The Jackets entered the game No. 1 in Division II in three-point FGM/game (12.6).
- Cedarville is 71-25 in the all-time series vs. Ohio Dominican.
