PEPPER PIKE, Ohio - Ursuline finished the game on a 16-7 run to defeat the Lady Jackets, 75-70, in a G-MAC contest played at the Stano Athletic Center.
Lydia Sweeney racked up 27 points for Cedarville, 4-8 overall and 2-3 G-MAC.
Sweeney tallied the Jackets' final nine points and her jumper to begin that streak gave the visitors a 63-59 edge with 4:45 left.
However, the Arrows responded with the next seven points and never trailed agin.
Sweeney's three-pointer with 25 seconds to go pulled CU within 72-70.
After Ursuline made one-of-two free throws, the Jackets misfired on a triple and the hosts iced the outcome with two charity tosses with eight seconds remaining.
STINGER NOTES:
- KaCee Kyle chipped in ten points with three assists and three steals.
- Sweeney led the squad with six rebounds and four assists.
- There were eight lead changes and four tie scores.
- It was the 33rd meeting between the two schools and the only one this season.
