ASHLAND, Ohio - United Soccer Coaches Division II No. 8 Ashland held Cedarville in check for a 1-0 G-MAC victory at Ferguson Field.

The Eagles netted the game's only goal in the 22nd minute.

It was a tale of two halves with AU outshooting the Lady Jackets 18-12 overall and 7-3 on goal.

The home side dominated the first 45 minutes with a 11-1 margin with CU turning it around with a 11-7 edge in the second half.

Ashland leads the all-time series by a 8-2 count.

The rematch in Cedarville is slated for October 31.
