CEDARVILLE, Ohio - NABC Division II No. 5 Ferris State won its 11th straight game with a 81-67 verdict over the Yellow Jackets at the Callan Athletic Center.
The Bulldogs, the top-ranked team in the Midwest Region, sprinted to a 26-7 lead in the first nine minutes.
Cedarville made a valiant comeback in closing the gap to 38-29 by halftime.
Anthony Ruffolo, who had missed the season's first nine games with an injury, buried a triple to cut the deficit to 54-48 with 11:21 remaining.
However, FSU responded with a 25-10 run to push the difference out to 21 - the largest margin of the contest.
Jaylen Davis scored 18 points for the Yellow Jackets, 7-3, who dropped their first home game of the campaign (5-1).
Ruffolo totaled 17 points and freshman
Sam Johnson added 15.
