OWENSBORO, Ky. - Kentucky Wesleyan handed the Yellow Jackets their most lopsided loss of the season with a 86-50 G-MAC romp at the Owensboro Sportscenter.
Cedarville, who began the week with a three-game lead in the standings, dropped its third straight outing in six days.
Jayvon Maughmer scored 11 points and
Grant Whisman added 10 for the Jackets, 16-8 overall and 10-4 G-MAC.
The Panthers had control of the game from the outset exploding to a 45-19 lead by halftime.
The onslaught continued in the second period with KWC leading by as many 40 on two occasions.
STINGER NOTES:
- G-MAC rebounding leader Jacob Drees played just 13 minutes - all in the first half.
- CU set season-lows for points, field goal percentage, three-point field goals, and three-point percentage.
- The Jackets previous low offensive output was 68 points in back-to-back home wins over Malone and Hillsdale.
- The eight turnovers was the seventh straight contest in single digits.
- Kentucky Wesleyan leads the all-time series, 12-8.
- The teams play again in the Callan Athletic Center on February 22.
