HILLSDALE, Mich. - Cedarville's struggles continued during a 76-68 G-MAC defeat at Hillsdale inside the Dawn Tibbetts Potter Arena.
The Yellow Jackets dropped to 16-9 overall and 10-5 G-MAC following their fourth straight setback.
Jayvon Maughmer scored 21 points and was joined by three other teammates in double figures.
Chris Rogers totaled 16 points while
Timothy Davis and
Anthony Ruffolo both came off the bench with ten points each.
The Chargers never trailed and eased out to a 33-28 halftime lead. They went on a 20-9 run through the first ten minutes of the second period to open up a 16-point margin.
Cedarville closed to within 65-61 with 2:55 remaining, but Hillsdale regained control after scoring six of the next seven points.
STINGER NOTES:
- Six different players hit a three-pointer as part of the team's total of ten triples.
- Davis led the club with seven rebounds.
- G-MAC leading rebounder Jacob Drees was unavailable for the contest.
- The teams split the two regular season games and Hillsdale leads the all-time series, 16-2.
- The Jackets play the next four games at home (Findlay, Kentucky Wesleyan, Trevecca, and Ashland).
