CEDARVILLE, Ohio - The Yellow Jackets buried 19 three-pointers and halted a four-game losing streak during an 87-67 G-MAC win over Findlay at the Callan Athletic Center.
Jayvon Maughmer scored 26 points and
Chris Rogers poured in a career-high 23 for Cedarville, 17-9 overall and 11-5 G-MAC.
Anthony Ruffolo tallied 11 markers,
Timothy Davis had ten, and
Kyle Thomas added nine for a starting lineup that scored all but eight of the team's points.
The Jackets, who lead the G-MAC and are No. 2 nationally in three-pointers made per game (12.2), knocked down 11 in the first half for a 45-35 lead.
Rogers hit 7-of-10 shots from outside the arc and the other four starters made three apiece.
STINGER NOTES:
- Maughmer added nine rebounds and five assists.
- Grant Whisman had eight points as the lone bench player to score.
- Cedarville outrebounded the Oilers, 43-33.
- Findlay had beaten the Jackets, 101-77, at home on Dec. 9 with a +11 rebound margin.
- CU was 13-for-23 (.565) on two-point fields goals.
- The 19 threes were the second-most made this season (26 vs. Boyce).
- G-MAC leading rebounder Jacob Drees was unavailable for the second straight game.
