CEDARVILLE, Ohio -
Jacob Drees and
Jayvon Maughmer scored 18 points each to lead Cedarville to a key 85-76 G-MAC win over Trevecca before 1,932 fans at the Callan Athletic Center.
Grant Whisman dropped in 17 points while
Anthony Ruffolo and
Kyle Thomas scored 11 each.
The Yellow Jackets, 18-10 overall and 12-6 G-MAC, enter the final week of the regular season in third place in the conference standings.
CU hit nine triples in the first half and opened up a 21-point lead before settling for a 44-26 margin at the intermission.
However, the Trojans quickly shaved the margin down to single digits and got as close as 67-62 with 4:26 remaining.
Whisman answered with a three-pointer and the Jackets eventually went 6-for-6 at the line in the final minute to ice it.

- Drees dished out a game-high nine assists
- Whisman led the team with seven rebounds.
- Four different players made three treys apiece (Maughmer, Ruffolo, Thomas, Whisman).
- The team's 19 free throws were the first time in double figures in nine games.
- CU never trailed after four consecutive three-pointers to start the game gave the hosts a 12-0 lead.
- The opponents split the two regular season games.
