CEDARVILLE, Ohio - Graduating seniors
Lydia Sweeney and
Anne Wheeler were honored following the Lady Jackets' final Saturday home game with G-MAC foe Trevecca.
The Trojans shot lights out in posting a 106-66 result at the Callan Athletic Center.
Kat Weakley fired in 19 points for Cedarville, 5-20 overall and 3-15 G-MAC.
Brianna Zajicek scored 15 points and
Leah Butterbaugh added 13.
TNU shot .625 from the field and buried 16-of-28 three-pointers in the game.
The visitors made 11-of-16 from beyond the arc in the first half alone.
STINGER NOTES:
- Weakley has scored in double figures in four of the last five games (15.0 ppg).
- Butterbaugh equaled her career-high of 13 points set twice previously this season (Salem, Hillsdale).
- Zajicek is averaging 13.1 ppg and 5.8 rpg in the last eight outings.
- Wheeler was a four-year player and two-year starter, who suffered a season-ending injury in the third game - the second such occurrence in her career.
- Sweeney, a four-year player and three-year starter, also had her season halted with an injury after 17 games. She was second in the G-MAC in scoring (18.9) and finished with 964 career points.
