CEDARVILLE, Ohio - WBCA Division II No. 1 Ashland shot 75 percent from the field and rolled by Cedarville, 113-58, at the Callan Athletic Center.
Kat Weakley totaled 19 points for the Lady Jackets in what was the Annual Play 4 Kay Pink Night game.
Brianna Zajicek tallied 15 points and
Leah Butterbaugh added 10.
The defending national champion Eagles made 27-of-34 shots (.794) in the first half for a 65-25 lead.
Cedarville shot 62 percent in the third quarter and played the visitors to within 48-33 in the second half.
STINGER NOTES:
- Weakley knocked down 4-of-8 three-pointers and had a career-high five steals.
- Zajicek, who led the team with four assists, scored in double figures for the third straight game (16.3 ppg).
- Cedarville had seven available players for the majority of the contest.
