MIDLAND, Mich. - Northwood swept both ends of a doubleheader from the Yellow Jackets on opening day of the G-MAC schedule for both schools.
The Timberwolves won the first game 6-5 in 10 innings and then cruised to a 9-3 result in the nightcap.
In the opener, Cedarville scored twice in the ninth inning to force extras and pushed across a run in the tenth to take the lead.
Northwood bounced back with two runs in the bottom half including the winning run on a bases loaded walk.
Kale Ebling,
Eli Henderson, and
Lucas Rotello recorded two hits each for the Jackets, who stranded 16 runners on base. The Timberwolves left 15 runners on.
The hosts broke a 1-1 tie in the seven-inning second game with four runs in the third and tacked on four more in the sixth.
Henderson finished 3-for-3 at the plate with a run scored.
