Ferris State sweeps twinbill from Cedarville

VIERA, Fla. - Ferris State defeated the Lady Jackets twice in the first two games of the Space Coast Spring Games.

The Bulldogs won by scores of 9-0 in five innings and 3-2.

Cedarville was checked on two hits in the opener - singles by Casey Bertke and Mackenzie Russell.

In the nightcap, Ferris State hung on in the pitchers' duel which featured just ten hits combined.

Dana Bertke had two of the Jackets' six hits including a double and a triple with a stolen base and a run scored.

Casey Bertke, who struck out three in a complete-game effort in the circle, doubled in a run and Mackenzie Russell added an RBI single.
