MIDLAND, Mich. -
Casey Bertke fired a three-hitter and won her seventh consecutive decision in a 1-0 result at Northwood in the first game of a G-MAC doubleheader.
The Timberwolves won the nightcap, 12-4, in six innings.
Bertke, 9-6, struck out five and finished off her 13th complete game of the spring.
She got the only run she needed in the second inning when
Faith Bergner was hit-by-pitch, moved to second on a ground out, and scored on
Jordan Berry's single to centerfield.
In game two, Northwood jumped on the Jackets with five runs in the first inning.
Mariah Wallace doubled and homered, and
Kaley Clark ripped a two-run double for Cedarville, 13-20 overall and 6-4 G-MAC.
