HILLSDALE, Mich. - The Bertke sisters provided the spark to help Cedarville to a 2-0 victory at Hillsdale.
The Chargers won the second game of the G-MAC doubleheader, 8-3.
Dana Bertke led off the first contest with her first career home run to right field. She registered two of the team's five hits.
The Jackets got an insurance run in the seventh when
Stephanie Stubblefield delivered a pinch hit single to score
Faith Bergner.
Winning pitcher
Casey Bertke, 10-6, continued her hot streak in winning her eighth straight decision. She allowed six hits and struck out six without walking a batter.
In the second game, CU scored two runs in the first inning, but Hillsdale answered with four and never trailed the rest of the way.
Mackenzie Russell totaled three hits with two apiece coming from
Dana Bertke and
Lexi Parsons.
