CALEDONIA, Mich. -
Alyssa Griner and
Katie Ulmer scored goals to spark the Lady Jackets to a 2-1 non-conference victory at Davenport.
Cedarville registered its first win of the season in what was the first-ever meeting against the previously unbeaten Panthers.
Griner struck for her first collegiate tally in the 38th minute with
Maddie McConnell assisting.
The goal ended a CU scoreless streak that had reached 218 minutes.
Ulmer made it 2-0 from
Audrey Nelson in the 69th minute. Davenport pulled one back just four minutes later to account for the final.
The Jackets outshot the hosts 15-10 overall and 8-7 on goal.
Goalkeeper
Brooke Ackley made six saves for Cedarville, 1-2-1 overall.
