HUNTSVILLE, Ala. – USTFCCCA Division II No. 5 Cedarville took seven of the first eleven places to run away from the field at the Alabama-Huntsville Invitational.
The Lady Jackets totaled 18 points to place first among the 26 teams in the 6,000 meter race at John Hunt Park.
Corinne Lynch led the charge with a runner-up finish of 20:47.8. She was followed closely by both
Emily Walsh (3rd, 20:49.4) and
Aubrey Hayes (4th, 21:21.8).
Rounding out the team's first seven were
Hannah Hartenburg (6th, 21:26.8),
Alyson Enns (7th, 21:32.8),
Savannah Golding (9th, 21:38.2), and
Audrianna Enns (11th, 21:40.1).
Division II No. 23 Lee was the runner-up with 76 points and was followed by Nova Southeastern (113), Alabama-Huntsville (147), and Anderson SC (186) in the top five.
Stinger Notes:
- The Jackets assembled a total time 1:45:58 with an average of 21:11 per runner.
- Only 45 seconds separated the team's top five finishers and 52 seconds for the top seven.
- A total of 250 competitors started the race.
- The Lady Jackets last won the UAH Invitational in 2022. They were the runner-up in 2023 and took third place last fall.
- Cedarville sets its sites on the G-MAC Championship in Midland, Mich. on October 25.
