NCCAA WOMEN'S SOCCER AWARDS
CEDARVILLE, Ohio –
Sophie Browndyke has been selected to the NCCAA Women's Soccer All-America First Team for the second consecutive year.
The senior defender from West Harrison, Indiana guided a Cedarville back line that delivered 12 shutouts with a school-record 0.58 goals against average.
Browndyke started all 22 games with three goals and three assists for the 12-3-7 Lady Jackets, who advanced to the second round of the NCAA Division II Championship.
She was named the NCCAA Midwest Region Co-Player of the Year and was joined on the all-region team by defender
Savannah McConnell, midfielder
Maddy McCort, and forward
Ella Webb.
Additionally, Browndyke is one of five players recognized as NCCAA Scholar-Athletes along with
Evania McCandless,
Maddie McConnell,
Kaelan Swallow, and
Katie Ulmer.
The list includes juniors, seniors, and graduate students who maintain a minimum 3.40 cumulative grade point average.
