CLEVELAND, Tenn. - Lee held Cedarville's offense in check for the second straight day to claim both games of a twinbill at Butler Field.
The Flames won by scores of 9-2 and 10-1. The second game was halted after five innings by the eight-run mercy rule.
In the opener, freshman
Emilie Fout hit the first pitch of the game for a double. Two outs later, classmate
Ella Leonard belted a two-run home run.
Lee answered with three runs in the bottom half of the first and never looked back.
Cedarville totaled five hits, one of which was a double by
Ella Mitchell.
The Flames scored three times in the first inning of the second contest and then put it away with a six-run fourth.
Kara Adkins had two of the six hits for the Jackets, 1-6 overall. They plated their run in the second inning on a fielders choice RBI by Mitchell to score
Anna Gardner.
