VIERA, Fla. - The bats came alive for Cedarville, but Davenport and Barry came away with wins at the Space Coast Spring Games.
The Lady Jackets, 3-12, pounded out 11 extra base hits including two home runs on the night.
In the opener, Davenport scored four times in the first inning and kept the lead for a 5-3 victory.
Camryn Taktak went 3-for-3 with two doubles, a triple, an RBI, and a run scored.
Ella Leonard totaled three hits including a double while
Dana Croyts and
Emilie Fout added two hits each.
Barry racked up 15 hits in a 13-6 result in the nightcap.
Taktak and
Mackenzie Lashuay belted home runs for Cedarville.
Caitlin Colley had three hits featuring a pair of doubles and two RBI.
Croyts and Lashuay finished with two hits each for CU, who takes an off day before resuming play with two games on Thursday.
