CANTON, Ohio - The Yellow Jackets struggled to get the offense going in a pair of G-MAC losses to Malone at Thurman Munson Stadium.
The Pioneers swept the doubleheader by 5-2 and 3-2 scores.
Cedarville totaled just five hits in the nine-inning opener - two by
Cooper Martin.
Both runs came via RBI groundouts by
Grayson Weikel and
Riley Finkelston.
Starting pitcher
Coen Ball struck out a career-high nine batters in six innings.
Malone took the seven-inning second contest by breaking a 2-2 deadlock with a run in its final at bat.
Chris Montes de Oca had two hits and scored a run while
Kaden Wilde tripled and scored.
Jensen Wagoner, 4-3, went the distance on the mound with seven strikeouts for the Yellow Jackets, 13-21 overall and 6-12 G-MAC.
