Cedarville drops road contest to Division I Akron

AKRON, Ohio - Akron kept Cedarville off the scoreboard in a 10-0 result at Skeeles Field.

The non-conference matchup was halted in the eighth inning by the ten-run mercy rule.

The Zips scored in each of the first five innings to build a 7-0 lead.

Akron totaled 10 hits - two for extra bases - and left 13 runners on base.

Kaden Wilde had two of the Yellow Jackets' eight hits and also stole two bases.

Danny DeMoss added two hits for Cedarville, 17-25.
