BUCKHANNON, W.Va. - West Virginia Wesleyan won five singles matches to come away with a 5-2 non-conference win over the Yellow Jackets at the Wood Street Tennis Courts.

The Jackets picked up two victories including the doubles point, but were unable to overcome the Bobcats, who were playing their season opener. Cedarville slips to 0–3 overall.

- Cedarville earned one singles win and two doubles victories on the afternoon.
- Roman Issayev delivered a straight-sets win at No. 4 singles, 6–4, 6–1.
- In doubles play, Issayev paired with Logan DeHaven for a 7–5 decision at the No. 2 court.
- Roberto Esquivel and Pedro Nogueira added a 6–4 triumph at the No. 3 position.
 The Yellow Jackets complete their West Virginia trip with a date at Salem on Saturday morning.
