BUCKHANNON, W.Va. - Cedarville women's tennis pulled out a hard-fought 4–3 victory over Salem on Saturday afternoon at the Wood Street Tennis Courts.
The Lady Jackets started strong by sweeping doubles.
Delia Guzic and
Faith Monson delivered a 7-5 win at No. 1,
Diana Ivanikhina and
Molly Filpus added a 6-4 decision at No. 2, and
Mariana Philipps teamed with
Paula Curci Micieli for a 6-1 result on court three.
In singles,
Diana Ivanikhina led the way with a commanding 6-0, 6-2 triumph at the top spot, while
Mariana Philipps secured a straight-set victory at No. 3.
Grace Mahek clinched the match with a 6-4, 6-4 result on court six.
The Lady Jackets are now 2–2 overall and continue their fall schedule against Capital at home on Wednesday.
