TOURNAMENT INFO
CEDARVILLE, Ohio - The Jackets wrapped up the Cedarville Invitational with back-to-back sweeps over D'Youville and West Liberty inside the Callan Athletic Center.
CU opened the day with a 3-0 win over D'Youville (25-13, 25-20, 31-29). They returned in the evening to complete the tournament by handling West Liberty, 3-0 (25-12, 25-16, 25-13).
Against D'Youville,
Allie Pilat paced the attack with 12 kills while
Madelyn Hensley added nine kills, seven digs, and three aces.
Kaley Matney dished out 25 assists and contributed 12 digs. Cedarville's defense at the net proved dominant with 11 team blocks, highlighted by
Cassi Shields and
Haley Koch posting five block assists each.
The Lady Jackets turned in their sharpest offensive performance of the weekend in the nightcap, hitting an impressive .386 as a team versus West Liberty.
Hensley led the way with 13 kills on .500 hitting, while Shields tallied 12 kills, three aces, and 15.5 total points. Matney distributed 37 assists with
Janae Heegaard adding eight kills at a .583 clip.
Hensley and Shields were named to the All-Tournament Team.
