CEDARVILLE, Ohio - Michael Catanzarite's brace sparked the United Soccer Coaches Division II No. 15 Yellow Jackets to a 2-1 victory over visiting Walsh to wrap up a five-game homestand.
 
After a scoreless first half, Catanzarite provided the breakthrough with two goals just six minutes apart.
 
He opened the scoring in the 55th minute on a low left-footed finish at the near post assisted by Jackson Baker.
 
Catanzarite doubled the advantage in the 61st minute, latching onto a long ball from Christian Nardelli, beating the keeper, and slotting home into an open net.
 
Walsh answered with a 25-yard strike in the 68th minute, but Cedarville's defense, anchored by goalkeeper Jack Gabler's four saves, held firm down the stretch.
 
The win moves the Yellow Jackets to 4-0-3 overall and 2-0-1 in the G-MAC.

"It was our third game in six days and it was their third game in six days. You're going to have more of a physical battle like that and it's going to be tough. All of the conference games are tough and for us it's good to get up and get a lead. And then, we've got to find a little more composure to see out the game. Great strike by them to get back in it, but we've got to find that third goal to put the game away. There's some things we can grow from and some things we can improve on, but we're certainly happy to get the win and three points."
