CEDARVILLE, Ohio - Cedarville claimed a 3-1 victory over Charleston on Saturday evening at the Callan Athletic Center.
The Lady Jackets, 10-2 overall, won by set scores of 25-15, 25-22, 22-25, 25-23 to extend their winning streak to seven in a row.
Cedarville controlled the opening frame and battled through two tight sets to secure the home win. Charleston avoided the sweep by taking the third, but the Lady Jackets closed the match with a strong finish.
Madelyn Hensley powered the offense with 14 kills and 12 digs.
Allie Pilat chipped in 12 kills, while
Janae Heegaard added six kills and seven blocks. Defensively,
Haley Koch stood tall with nine blocks, while libero
Alivia Rutt tallied 12 digs.
As a team, Cedarville registered 42 kills, 58 digs, and an impressive 18 total blocks. The Lady Jackets limited Charleston to a .000 hitting percentage for the night.
