Quotable: Head Coach Rob Jones
"Hats off to Ashland. I thought they played really well. They attacked us from the opening tip, and we did not respond the way we needed to. Maceo Williams is the returning G-MAC Player of the Year, and he played like it today. We have to get back to practice on Monday with a renewed commitment to playing connected basketball on both ends of the floor."

Five Facts:
  • Whiteside made his first career start and responded with 11 points.
  • Ethan Sellars came away with a team-leading four steals.
  • Sam Johnson chipped in nine points and two blocked shots.
