FORT WAYNE, Ind. – The Yellow Jackets secured a narrow 4-3 victory over Goshen indoors at the Wildwood Racquet Club.
Cedarville won two of three doubles matches and captured three singles victories to improve to 5-6 overall.
In doubles,
Roberto Esquivel and
Penn Morrison teamed up for a 7-5 decision at the top spot, while
Logan DeHaven and
Pedro Nogueira outlasted their opponents in a 7-6 (8-6) tiebreak at No. 3.
In singles play, Cedarville battled through three match tiebreaks to secure the team win including No. 1
Roman Issayev, who rallied for a 7-6 (7-5), 4-6, 1-0 (10-6) victory.
DeHaven overcame a first-set loss to prevail 2-6, 7-5, 1-0 (10-8) at No. 3. Morrison also bounced back after dropping the opening set, earning a 1-6, 6-3, 1-0 (10-6) win at No. 6.
