CEDARVILLE, Ohio — Cedarville lost to Lawrence Tech, but defeated Ohio Wesleyan in the NACE Tournament for Super Smash Bros. Ultimate.

In the semifinal against Lawrence Tech, the Yellow Jackets dropped both sets.

CU battled back early in Set 1 after falling behind but could not overcome consistent play from LTU's lineup, resulting in a 12-9 loss. In Set 2, Cedarville briefly gained momentum with an early advantage, but the Blue Devils Tech responded decisively to secure a 12-8 win and the 2-0 match sweep.

Cedarville regrouped in the third-place match against Ohio Wesleyan and delivered a strong performance.

In Set 1, the Yellow Jackets built an early lead and maintained control despite a late push, closing out a 12-9 victory. Set 2 featured a tightly contested start before CU created separation late, using a dominant finish to secure a 12-7 win and complete the 3-0 sweep.
