Jackets sting Ashland, 4-3, in key G-MAC road match

ASHLAND, Ohio – Big wins in singles carried Cedarville to a 4-3 win over Ashland at the Karl Tennis Complex.
 
The outcome ended a nine-match skid for the Yellow Jackets, 8-15 overall and 1-5 G-MAC.
 
The visitors claimed the doubles point by virtue of victories by No. 1 Roberto Esquivel and Logan DeHaven as well as No. 2 Roman Issayev and Alexander Rongos.
 
Issayev was a straight-set winner at No. 1 singles. No. 3 DeHaven needed three sets to come out on top.
 
With the two sides tied, 3-3, No. 5 Pedro Nogueira rallied for a three-set win to give CU the victory.
