Cedarville University Yellow Jackets

Steve Cardwell is back for his senior year at Cedarville University and his third campaign playing for the Yellow Jackets.....sat out the entire 2014 schedule after suffering a pre-season injury.....begins the year with a .341 career batting average.

2013 - Produced an outstanding sophomore season by hitting .349 with a team-leading 18 doubles, three triples, two home runs, and 38 RBI’s.....one of two players to start all 48 games.....NCCAA National All-Tournament Team.....voted to the NCCAA Midwest Region Team and All-G-MAC Team.....went 4-for-4 with a two-run homer and four RBI’s in a 9-2 win over Mount Vernon Nazarene in the NCCAA National Tournament.....also drove in four runs during an 11-8 victory against Saginaw Valley.....tied for the team lead with 11 contests of at least two RBI’s.....ranked second on the club with 17 multi-hit games including a trio of three-hit performances.

2012 - Batted .250 as a freshman with 10 starts in 22 contests.....went 2-for-3 at the plate in a 16-1 win over Oakland City in Florida.....posted a 3-4 pitching record with one save and a 4.70 ERA.....made 14 appearances with seven starts and two complete games.....went 6.1 innings and bagged a 5-2 victory at Malone.....checked host Urbana on three hits during a 4-0 decision.

High School - Three-year letter winner on the diamond at Massillon Jackson High School.....two-time All-Federal League Second Team selection.....member of two conference championship teams and one sectional title squad.....Ohio High School Baseball Coaches Association Mizuno All-Star.....Northeast Ohio Baseball Coaches Association All-Star.

Personal - Dean’s List student as an accounting major at Cedarville University.....born 9/26/92 in Massillon, OH.....son of Ron and Debbie Cardwell.....younger sister, Kristin, is a sophomore setter on the Lady Jacket volleyball team.
