Cedarville University Yellow Jackets

Dan Petke is a fourth-year catcher for the Yellow Jackets.....produced a solid junior season while being named to the NCCAA All-America First Team.....voted to the NCCAA Midwest Region Team and the American Mideast Conference Second Team.....started all 53 games with 52 coming behind the plate.....ranked third on the squad with a .356 batting average and 16 doubles.....tallied two or more hits in a game 16 times.....went 3-for-4 with four RBI’s in a win over Goshen.....NCCAA Scholar-Athlete.

2010 - Appeared in 26 games and made 18 starts.....registered 11 hits in 57 at bats with two doubles, a triple, and one home run with 12 RBI’s.....posted an impressive .993 fielding percentage by committing just one error in 134 chances.....threw out eight base stealers in 24 attempts.

2009 - Batted .245 in 23 games during his rookie season.....made 18 starts with 16 of those coming behind the plate.....struck out just six times in 68 plate appearances.....had a two-hit game against Point Park.....recorded three RBI’s in a game versus Ohio Dominican and two more against Ohio Northern.

High School - Three-sport athlete at Worthington Kilbourne High School.....played four seasons of baseball and earned three letters.....achieved All-Ohio Capital Conference Second Team honors.....batted .310 as a senior with three homers and 28 RBI’s.....member of two conference championship clubs and one district title team.....accomplished ice hockey player as a four-year letter winner.....netted a single-season school record 50 goals and won the Hobey Baker Award.....selected all-conference first team.....played soccer two seasons with program winning OCC crown each year.
