Ben Galbreath is Cedarville’s first-ever full-time assistant baseball coach beginning with the 2013-14 academic year. He returned for his second stint on the Yellow Jacket staff in 2012 as the pitching coach after holding the same position on a volunteer basis during the 2003 and 2004 seasons.

Galbreath brings a wealth of baseball knowledge to the Yellow Jackets as both a player and a coach with a resume featuring an impressive list of credentials.

Galbreath was an assistant coach at his alma mater, Kenton Ridge High School in Springfield, Ohio, from 2005 through 2011. The Cougars have been a perennial power on the diamond and have seen three of their graduates pitch at the Major League level.

Galbreath additionally works with many youth and high school players on individual skills. He also has extensive camp experience as an instructor.

Galbreath was a four-year baseball letter winner at NCAA Division I Kent State University from 1999 through 2002. He graduated as the Golden Flashes’ all-time leader in pitching appearances with 84.

Galbreath was a member of two Mid-American Conference tournament championship teams and one regular season title squad. He pitched in two NCAA regional tournaments.

Ben is a 2002 graduate of Kent State. He and his wife, Kelli, reside in Springfield with their three children.
