Cedarville University Yellow Jackets

Former Yellow Jacket player Kiel Boynton is in his fifth season as an assistant coach at Cedarville University. He serves as the team’s pitching coach.

Boynton, a native of Prineville, Oregon, was a pitcher at CU from 2003 through 2006. He appeared in 40 games for the Jackets, mostly as a reliever, but made 12 starts during his final two seasons.

Boynton is a 2006 graduate of the University with a degree in physical activity and sport studies. He earned his master’s in sport management from the United State Sports Academy in 2009.

Boynton serves as the Supervisor of Indoor Facilities and Athletic Events Assistant. Kiel and his wife, Faith, reside in Xenia with their son, Parker John, born Oct. 23, 2009.
