Tyler Rost

NCCAA All-American Tyler Rost is in his second season on the Yellow Jacket coaching staff as an assistant working with the outfielders.

The Rootstown, Ohio product was a four-year standout at Cedarville from 2008 through 2011. He helped lead the Jackets to 116 victories and three appearances in the NCCAA National Tournament.

Rost posted a .334 career batting average as a four-year starter in the outfield. He holds Yellow Jacket all-time records for games played (213), at bats (626), hits (209), runs scored (138), and walks (125).

Rost continued his playing career in 2012 with the Alpine Cowboys of the Pecos League, an independent league headquartered in Houston, Texas. He has re-signed with the club for the 2013 season.

Rost was named to the NCCAA All-America Second Team as a senior and was a two-time All-Midwest Region selection. He is a 2012 graduate of Cedarville University with a degree in sport management.
