Cedarville University Yellow Jackets

David Bancroft is in his fourth year with the Yellow Jackets as a member of the pitching staff.....tied for second on the club with 17 appearances with 14 of those in relief.....finished 1-4 with a 7.52 ERA.....paced the team with 42 strikeouts in 40 2/3 innings.....tossed 3 1/3 innings of hitless relief with two K’s to get the win at Urbana, 15-13.....struck out a career-high six batters in three innings vs. Urbana at home in a 10-5 victory.....G-MAC Academic Team.

2014 - Tallied a 2-5 record on the hill as a sophomore with a 6.04 ERA.....appeared in 13 games with 11 starts.....struck out four and allowed only one hit in four innings of a 7-4 win vs. Saint Joseph’s (Ind.).....checked Walsh on four hits in 5 2/3 innings during a 7-2 victory.....G-MAC Academic Team.

2013 - Played in five games as a freshman.....went 2-for-3 at the plate with an RBI and a run scored.....allowed one earned run in three relief appearances on the mound.

High School - Homeschool graduate of Matthews Academy.....played four years of baseball with the Charlotte Stampede.....two-time Team MVP.....2011 Homeschool World Series All-American and NCHE all-tournament team selection.....career high school batting average of .385 with a season-best .427 as a junior.....posted a 2.85 ERA on the mound as a senior.....part of two NCHEAC state championship teams.....member of 2011 and 2012 Homeschool World Series Division Champions.....graduated with academic honors.

Personal - Dean’s List student as a biology major at Cedarville University.....born 7/19/93 in Indianapolis, IN.....son of Steven and Claire Bancroft.....younger brother, Nathan, is a junior outfielder with the Yellow Jackets.....also has a younger sister, Lydia.
