Cedarville University Yellow Jackets

Luke Freshwater is in his second year as part of the Yellow Jacket pitching staff.....posted a 1-1 record with a 4.94 ERA in 12 appearances last spring.....predominantly came in as a reliever but made two starts.....tossed a nine-inning complete game for a 6-3 victory at Earlham with five strikeouts.....fanned five in a previous start with no decision of an 8-7 win against Saint Xavier.....struck out 26 batters in 31 innings.

2007-08 - Transfer from DeSales University in Pennsylvania and West Point.....posted a .5.01 ERA in 26 innings for DeSales.....part of conference championship team in 2007 that qualified for the regional.

High School - Two-time all-conference baseball player at Ohio Division I Mount Vernon High School.....captain of football and baseball teams.....posted a 7-2 record on the mound as a senior with a 2.01 ERA.....17-4 career record.....tossed a no-hitter as a sophomore.....member of two Ohio Capital Conference championship teams.....team was district runner-up twice.....also participated in wrestling.

Personal - Dean’s List student as a psychology major at Cedarville University.....born 8/2/87 in Dover, OH.....son of John and Nancy Freshwater.....younger sister, Sarah, is a sophomore swimmer at the Naval Academy.....has another younger sister, Jordan.
