Cedarville University Yellow Jackets

Matt Yates comes to the Yellow Jackets as a transfer from Division II Notre Dame College.....appeared in seven games with two starts and a 1-2 record on the mound for the Falcons in 2016.....struck out a season-high six batters during a 13-8 win over Indianapolis.....played for Division III Marietta College in 2015.....made three relief appearances for the Ohio Athletic Conference Tournament champions.

High School - Earned three letters in four seasons of baseball at Miamisburg High School.....registered a 7-4 record with a 2.50 ERA during his final three seasons.

Personal - Innovation and entrepreneurship major at Cedarville University.....born 8/15/96 in Miamisburg, OH.....son of Duane and Mary Yates.....has one older sister and two older brothers.
