Cedarville University Yellow Jackets

Paul Hembekides is a fourth-year infielder with the Yellow Jackets.....started 42 of the 48 games in which he played with a .299 batting average.....led the squad in walks (31), on base percentage (.441), and sacrifice bunts (8).....drove in 23 runs.....recorded nine multi-hit games including three-hit efforts against Lock Haven and East Stroudsburg.....tallied four RBI’s in a win over Ohio Christian.....American Mideast Conference honorable mention.

2010 - Played in 52 games as a sophomore with 49 starts - all coming at second base.....batted .273 and walked 34 times.....ranked second on the team with 111 assists in the field.....delivered a two-out two-run single, his third hit of the game, in the bottom of the 7th inning to finish off a 7-6 victory against Davenport.....also stroked three hits at Urbana.

2009 - Played in 33 games and made 31 starts at second base as a freshman.....batted .312 with 24 hits in 77 at bats.....totaled 71 assists in the field which ranked third on the squad.....hit .429 with runners in scoring position.....went 3-for-3 with two runs scored in an 8-3 win at Walsh.....drove in three runs in a 14-3 victory at Clearwater Christian.

High School - Four-year letter winner on the diamond at Church Farm School.....posted a .400 career batting average with career school records of 80 hits, 72 runs scored, and 72 RBI’s.....two-time Coaches Award recipient.....earned Rookie of the Year as a freshman.....achieved all-conference first team recognition.....chosen to play in the Carpenter Cup Showcase Tournament.....member of Tri-County League championship team.....two-year letter winner in basketball.....picked up one letter in golf.....also participated in soccer.
