Cedarville University Yellow Jackets

Ross Melchior is in his fourth season with the Yellow Jackets.....three-year starter with more than 100 career games played.....voted to the All-G-MAC Second Team as a junior.....only returning to player to start all 38 games in 2018.....batted .324 with team-highs of 45 hits, 27 runs, three triples, four homers, 70 total bases, 22 walks, and 24 runs batted in.....also topped the squad in the field with 93 assists.....led the club with 14 multi-hit games including a four-hit performance against Davis & Elkins.....tallied a trio of three-hit games.....also set the pace with seven multi-RBI contests featuring four vs. D&E.....hit safely in five of the last six games of the season with a .591 batting average.....G-MAC Academic Team.

2017 - Played in 39 games with 28 starts as a sophomore.....produced 13 hits at the plate with two doubles, 12 runs scored, and six RBI.....tallied two hits with three runs scored and two more batted in against Rockhurst.....made eight appearances on the mound with one start.....finished 1-0 with a 5.40 ERA over 16.2 innings.....credited with a 15-2 victory at Urbana in relief.....G-MAC Academic Team.

2016 - Played in 32 games as a freshman with 30 starts.....batted .264 with three doubles and 11 RBI.....racked up a career-high four hits vs. Lewis.....made two appearances on the mound with one start and an 0-1 record.

High School - Played four years of baseball with two letters at Cheyenne Central High School.....member of 2015 state championship squad.....earned a spot on the all-state team.....

Personal - Dean’s List student as a molecular and cellular biology major at Cedarville University.....born 3/30/97 in Cheyenne, WY.....son of Steve and Charah Melchior.....has one older sister, four older brothers, two younger brothers, and two younger sisters.
