Biography

T.J. Taylor is a four-year starting pitcher for the Yellow Jackets and one of three team captains.....sports a 15-14 career record with 29 starts on the mound in 38 appearances.....struggled through his junior season with a 2-6 mark and a 7.24 earned run average.....struck out 40 batters in 51 innings.....fired a complete-game four-hitter to beat Walsh, 9-0.....fanned four batters in 3 2/3 innings of relief to get the win over Urbana, 12-6.....struck out a season-high nine in a starting assignment at Malone.

2009 - Registered a 7-5 record with a 3.77 ERA as a sophomore.....led the staff with eight complete games and tied for the team-high with 14 appearances.....struck out a team-leading 76 batters in 74 innings pitched including a career-high 13 in a 6-3 win versus Notre Dame (Ohio).....surrendered only 11 extra base hits for the season and 10 were doubles.....fired a complete-game four-hit 6-0 victory over Grace in NCCAA Midwest Region championship game.....went the distance to beat Geneva, 5-2, at the NCCAA National Tournament.

2008 - Enjoyed an outstanding freshman season on the mound.....posted a 6-3 record with one save and a 4.85 ERA.....won his last four decisions which included a team-best two shutouts.....notched four complete games.....struck out 51 batters in 52 innings pitched.....opponents’ .244 batting average was the lowest among starters.....tossed a complete game in his first collegiate start which was a 10-5 win against Robert Morris (Ill.).....fanned five and allowed just two hits in a 6-3 win over Indiana Wesleyan in the NCCAA Midwest Regional.....winning pitcher in a 13-11 victory against Bluefield at the NCCAA Nationals.

High School - Four-year baseball player at Patrick Henry High School and a two-year varsity performer.....assembled an outstanding senior year on the mound.....posted an 8-1 record with a 0.71 ERA.....struck out 66 batters in 49.1 innings pitched.....helped lead 21-5 team to its second straight Northwest Ohio Athletic League championship and to sectional title.....played in the five-county North-South All-Star Game in Bryan, Ohio.....played four years of football and was a member of the 2005 Ohio Division V state championship team.....part of wrestling program for one season.....National Honor Society student.
