Cedarville University Yellow Jackets

Brian Hecker is one of Cedarville’s most experienced players, who will surpass 100 career games played this season.....appeared in 30 contests with 13 starts as a junior.....came off the bench the final half of the campaign and averaged 4.7 points.....posted season-highs of 16 points and eight rebounds during a 106-87 win vs. Salem International at home.....NCCAA Scholar-Athlete.

2010-11 - Team’s second-leading scorer and rebounder as a sophomore with averages of 11.2 ppg and 4.9 rpg.....played in 32 games and made 26 starts for 20-13 squad.....voted to the All-American Mideast Conference Second Team.....scored in double figures 19 times.....poured in a career-high 27 points against NAIA Division II No. 1 Saint Francis (Ind.).....scored 25 points with a career-high nine rebounds in a win against Ohio Christian.....netted 14 points versus Eastern Oregon at the NAIA national tournament.

2009-10 - Played in all 35 games coming off the bench as a freshman.....contributed 97 points and 103 rebounds.....voted to the All-AMC Freshmen Team.....tallied season-highs of 12 points and eight rebounds in CU’s record-setting 157-91 win at Rio Grande.....netted eight points in a 75-56 AMC victory at Mount Vernon Nazarene.

High School - Produced a record-setting career at Worthington Christian High School.....three-time All-Ohio Division IV selection.....named to the all-state third team as a sophomore and to the first team his final two seasons.....Ohio Division IV Player of the Year as a junior in 2007-08.....three-time Division IV All-Central District honoree and twice named District Player of the Year.....two-time All-Metro which recognizes best players in all divisions in central Ohio.....voted to the all-conference first team three times.....graduated third on the school’s all-time scoring list with 1,583 points and second in rebounding with 668.....finished with career averages of 20 points and a school-record 7.8 rebounds per game after averaging 23 ppg and 10 rpg as a senior.....set the school record for most points scored in one game with 45.....chosen to play in the Ohio North/South All-Star Game and the Ohio/Kentucky All-Star Game.
