Former Yellow Jacket Demond Parker begins his first campaign on the men’s basketball coaching staff in 2020-21.

A native of nearby Huber Heights, Ohio, Parker played three seasons at Cedarville appearing in 85 games with 28 starts.

He scored 406 points and 132 assists during his career while shooting .820 from the free throw line.

Parker started 22 of 28 contests during his senior season featuring a career-high 19 points during an 80-66 victory at Malone.

Parker played his freshman season just four miles away at Wilberforce University under Terry Futrell, currently a Yellow Jacket assistant coach.

He averaged 12 points per game, ranked 12th in NAIA Division II in three-point field goal percentage (.466), and was part of a Bulldogs team that finished 13-12 - the school’s first winning season in 19 years.

Parker played four seasons for Wayne High School and was a member of the 2015 Ohio Division I state championship team. He was a Dean’s List student at Cedarville University while earning an accounting degree.
