Cedarville University Yellow Jackets

Gabriel Portillo is in his fourth year at Cedarville University after graduating from Word of Life Bible Institute in New York.....one of two four-year players on the team.....played in 22 games as a junior off the bench.....contributed 50 points and 50 rebounds.....racked up career-highs of 16 points and nine rebounds during a 100-69 win over Miami-Hamilton in the Don Callan Classic.....G-MAC Academic Team.....NABC Honors Court.

2016-17 - Made 26 appearances with one start during his sophomore year.....contributed 50 points and 40 rebounds.....scored a season-high 13 markers in a 95-72 win at Ohio Valley.....G-MAC Academic Team.

2015-16 - Played in 26 games off the bench as a rookie.....totaled 40 points and 38 rebounds.....registered season-highs of nine points in a win over Salem International and seven rebounds in a victory against Ohio Valley.

High School - Played for Valdiceppo Basketball in the top youth division in Italy.....averaged 15.7 points, 9.6 rebounds and 2.0 assists per game.....posted single-game career-highs of 24 points and 27 rebounds.....MVP of the 2012 Umbria All-Star Game.

Personal - Dean’s List student as a business finance major at Cedarville University.....born 1/26/95 in Perugia, Italy.....son of Mario and Norma Portillo.....has one older sister.
