Cedarville University Yellow Jackets

Leighton Smith is a four-year front line player for the Yellow Jackets.....appeared in all 28 games with eight starts during his junior campaign.....averaged 5.7 points and 3.7 rebounds.....ranked second on the club with 26 blocked shots.....shot .646 from the field.....exploded for career-highs of 18 points and 14 rebounds in the season opener - a 110-107 double overtime win against Saint Joseph’s (Ind.).....scored in double figures seven times.....tallied 14 points at NABC Division II #1 ranked West Liberty.

2012-13 - Came off the bench in 23 games as a sophomore.....scored 35 points and grabbed 20 rebounds.....shot 67 percent from the field.....had a season-high six points in two different games.

2011-12 - Came off the bench to play in 24 contests.....totaled 20 points and 20 rebounds.....netted a season-high 10 points in a 106-87 home win over Salem International.

2010-11 - Red shirt freshman on the basketball team.....sprinter during the outdoor track & field season.....anchored the American Mideast Conference champion 4 x 400 meter relay squad.....AMC runner-up in the 400 meters.

High School - Graduate of St. Benedicts Prep High School.....three-year letter winner in track & field.

Personal - Business major at Cedarville University.....born 9/22/90 in Manchester, Jamaica.....son or Mark and Delrose Smith.....has three older sisters and one younger sister.
