Garrett Maddox joined the Lady Jacket volleyball staff as an assistant coach in 2010. His primary responsibility is working with the junior varsity team.

Maddox possesses an extensive volleyball background. He is currently the International Director of Volleyball for Athletes in Action which is a post he assumed in 2004.

Maddox has coordinated and led 13 international tours with AIA. The competitive missions trips have taken him to Russia, Ukraine, Ireland, Scotland, Costa Rice, Mexico, Brazil, and Nigeria.

Maddox was the girls head volleyball coach at nearby Xenia Christian High School in 2008 and 2009. He was previously the junior varsity boys and girls coach at Deerfield (Ill.) High School from 2002 through 2005 after coaching club volleyball in 2001-02.

A 2003 graduate of Trinity International University, Maddox earned a degree in biblical studies. He was a four-year member of the school’s men’s volleyball team.

Garrett and his wife, Michelle, reside in Xenia. They have two sons: Grayson, 7; and Tanner, 4.
