Cedarville University Yellow Jackets

Emily Gewirtz is in her second season with the Lady Jacket volleyball team.....appeared in nine matches including 12 sets during the 2014 campaign.....tallied 16 digs and eight service aces in limited playing time.....registered a season-high six digs and handled 11 serve attempts without an error in a Great Midwest Athletic Conference (G-MAC) three-set sweep against visiting Salem International.....posted all eight service aces in a G-MAC late season win over Central State.

High School - Produced a stellar four-year volleyball career at Judah Christian High School.....set a school record for most digs in a career with 1,252.....helped lead prep team to best record in school history (17-8) and first-ever conference championship during senior season.....two-time All-Area honorable mention.....earned East Central Illinois Conference (ECIC) honorable mention as a sophomore and garnered All-Conference recognition during both junior and senior seasons.....one of pre-season Top 50 all-area players in 2013.....academic all-conference selection in 2012.

Personal - Allied health major at Cedarville University.....born 10/23/95 in Urbana, IL.....daughter of Michael and Connie Gewirtz.....has one older sister.
