Biography

Kylee Husak (HOO-shock) returns for her fourth season with the Lady Jackets....one of two seniors on the 2010 team.....will serve as a captain this upcoming year.....appeared in all 38 matches and all 150 sets last fall.....led the offensive attack with 479 kills, 3.19 kills per set and a .340 attack percentage.....added a team-best 163 total blocks.....hit for 20+ kills in four matches.....recorded double figures in 24 contests during the campaign.....produced a season-high 22 kills and a .556 attack percentage in a five-set AMC victory versus Northwestern Ohio.....twice talled 10 blocks in a match - a non-conference verdict against Cincinnati Christian and an AMC defeat of visiting Walsh.....became 17th Lady Jacket to reach 1,000 career kills.....ranks 12th all-time at CU with 1,251 kills......ranks sixth in block assists (280) and total blocks (459) and seventh all-time in block solos (179).....seventh-best all-time attack percentage of .317.....member of the NCCAA All-America First Team.....NCCAA Midwest Region Team choice.....named to the AVCA Northeast Region Team.....American Mideast Conference First Team selection.....NAIA, NCCAA and AMC Scholar-Athlete. 

2008
- Led CU in all hitting and blocking categories.....posted 482 kills with a .329 attack percentage.....registered 59 solo blocks and 127 block assists for a team-best 186 total blocks.....hit for a career-high 26 kills in a five-set AMC win at Notre Dame OH.....produced double figure kills in 24 other matches including 15 of the last 17.....recorded a career-high 10 blocks in two consecutive matches at the NCCAA national tournament - versus Colorado Christian and Southwestern Assemblies of God.....earned NCCAA All-America Second Team honors.....voted to the NCCAA National All-Tournament Team.....member of the NCCAA Midwest Region First Team and the American Mideast Conference First Team.....member of the Grace Classic All-Tournament Team and the Madonna Invitational All-Tournament Team.....has 772 kills in two seasons.....ended the season ranked eighth all-time at CU in block solos (113) and total blocks (296). 

2007 - Appeared in 35 matches and 127 games.....missed the opening four matches of the season with a hand injury.....ranked fourth on the team with 290 kills.....posted a second-best .262 attack percentage.....team’s second-best blocker with 54 solos and 56 assists (110 total blocks) .....recorded a season-high 14 kills versus Davenport at the Taylor Challenge .....tallied double figures in kills on 13 other occasions.....put up nine blocks in her first match of ‘07 - a four-game contest against Taylor at the Madonna Invitational.....earned American Mideast Conference South Division honorable mention. 

High School - Recorded a successful two-sport career at Mount Vernon High School..... was a teammate of current CU junior Emilie Lynch.....three-year letter winner in volleyball.....team captured conference championship title in 2005.....named All-Conference First Team for senior season.....played in area All-Star match.....named to the Academic All-State team.....led squad in blocks both junior and senior campaigns..... posted 222 kills and averaged almost two blocks per game in 2006 season.....earned All-Conference Honorable Mention for junior season efforts.....club team captured third place in the state of Iowa and participated in the national tournament in 2007 season..... three-year letter winner in basketball.....garnered All-Conference Honorable Mention as a junior.....earned Academic All-State mention as a senior.....National Honor Society student.....State of Iowa Scholar. 

Personal - Dean’s List student as a psychology/comprehensive Bible double major at Cedarville University.....born 6/13/89 in Cedar Rapids, IA.....daughter of Steve and Donna Husak....older brother, Bryce, graduated in 2008 as a 7-foot-2 center on the men’s basketball squad at NCAA Division I Saint Louis University.....also has a younger sister.
