Biography
Stephanie Rogers returns for a final season with the Lady Jacket volleyball team.....serving as one of three captains in 2013......high school teammate of CU players and fellow captains Kelsey Christiansen and Maddie Anderson.....produced second-best 361 kills while leading squad with a .315 attack percentage in the 2012 season.....also led CU in solo blocks with 23 and total blocks (98).....registered a season-high 20 kills in a four-set league win at Trevecca Nazarene.....became the 18th member of the 1,000 career kill club with a 12 kill effort in a four-set win at Notre Dame OH.....hit for double digits in kills in 19 matches including four consecutive to end the 2012 campaign.....tallied a season-high seven blocks on two occasions - versus Ohio Dominican and Charleston WV.....posted 36 service aces and 89 digs.....Christian College Athletic Association (NCCAA) All-America Second Team.....NCCAA Midwest Region Team.....Great Midwest Athletic Conference (G-MAC) First Team.....Charleston Invitational All-Tournament Team.
2011 - Appeared in 38 of 40 matches.....topped team in kills (401), kills per set (2.91) and total blocks (141) for the second consecutive season.....also led squad with a .338 attack percentage, 34 solo blocks and 107 block assists.....produced nine of the top ten individual match attack percentages including season-best .611 versus Saint Joseph’s IN.....put down a season-high 16 kills in an early-season five-set win over Michigan Tech.....posted double figures in kills on 20 other occasions.....put up a career-high eight blocks in the season-opening win against Indiana PA.....earned National Christian College Athletic Association (NCCAA) All-America Second Team recognition.....named an AVCA NCCAA All-American......NCCAA Midwest Region selection for second straight year.....earned Ohio Independent Championship Team honors.....member of the Saint Joseph’s Invitational All-Tournament Team.
2010 - One of two players to appear in all 38 matches and all 135 sets.....led team with 437 kills, 3.24 kills/set and 106 total blocks.....recorded a second-best .314 attack percentage.....fifth on the squad with 158 digs.....handled the second-most serve receive attempts with 456.....powered a season-high 23 kills in a match at Indiana-East.....also hit for 20+ kills in contests against Ursuline and Ohio Dominican.....totaled double figures in kills in 22 of 38 matches.....produced a season-high seven total blocks at West Liberty.....named to the NCCAA Midwest Region Team.....earned All-American Mideast Conference (AMC) Second Team honors.....fifth Lady Jacket to be voted AMC Freshman of the Year......member of the Cedarville Invitational and Indiana Wesleyan Invitational All-Tournament Teams.
High School - Four-year letter winner in volleyball at Heritage Christian High School.....team advanced to an Elite Eight and Sweet Sixteen appearance during the IHSAA State Tournament.....two-time sectional champions.....team completed each of the last four seasons ranked in the Top 10 of Division 2A State Poll.....set school record as a senior for most kills in a season with 492.....Team MVP.....all-state selection in 2008 and 2009.....three-time All-City First Team performer.....prep squad posted a 107-28 record during her four seasons.....extensive club experience with the Indiana Volleyball Academy.....club team advanced to nationals each of the past three seasons.
Personal - Dean’s List student as a media and communications major at Cedarville University.....born 10/16/91 in Fairfax, VA....daughter of Larry and Becky Rogers.....father played soccer at George Mason and King’s.....mother ran track & field at King’s.....has four younger sisters including Sara, a sophomore member of the CU women’s soccer team.
